#267 APRIL 2013 SOLVING THE PRIEST SHORTAGE

The Eastern Catholic Churches follow the papal-approved Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches (latest approval by Pope John Paul II, 1990) and in Europe the Eastern Catholic bishops "choose" married men "called by Jesus" and ordain them; as a result, they have an oversupply of Catholic priests.

As you read this website, you will find that the USA Roman Catholic bishops oppopse our following of our canons. It is a sad history in this respect; however, now that the Roman Catholic Church, worldwide, is suffering a disastrous priest shortage, it is anticipated that the USA Roman Catholic bishops, seriously in need of a solution to their priest shortage, will no longer oppose our Eastern Catholic bishops in America from following their papal-approved code of canons.

The story of Slovakia and Ukraine are classic in attaining an oversupply of holy Catholic priests; and with full seminaries they provide an example for the Romans to return to the solution of the Early Fathers in the first centuries.

The addition of particular Churches, with married priests, within the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church is the route in the third millennium for evangelizing every human being on earth in accordance with Our Lord's instructions.

The ABCRC intent is to provide assistance to Catholic bishops to fulfill their obligations.
